Giriş ve Amaç: Keratinize diş eti, serbest diş eti kenarından mukogingival hatta uzanan alan olarak tanımlanır. Vestibuler sulkus derinliği ve keratinize diş eti miktarının yetersiz olduğu durumlarda, periodontal sağlığın idamesinde güçlük yaşandığı gösterilmiştir. Bu olgu sunumunun amacı, alt ön bölgedeki yetersiz keratinize diş eti olan ve serbest diş eti grefti (SDG) uygulaması yapılan hastanın klinik sonuçları ve takibinin paylaşılmasıdır. Olgu Sunumu: 33 yaşında sistemik olarak sağlıklı kadın hasta, alt santral dişin vestibuler bölgesindeki diş eti çekilmesinden kaynaklı hassasiyet ve estetik problemler nedeniyle kliniğimize başvurdu. Yapılan ağız içi muayenede, keratinize diş eti miktarının ve vestibuler sulkus derinliğinin yetersiz olduğu belirlendi. Cerrahisiz periodontal tedavinin ardından SDG yapıldı. Dikişler operasyondan 10 gün sonra alındı. Sonuç: Cerrahi işlemin ardından 3 aylık takiplerde herhangi bir komplikasyon gözlenmedi. Yapılan kontrollerde keratinize diş eti genişliği ve vestibuler sulkus derinliğinde artış, açık kök yüzeyinde kapanma olduğu gözlendi. SDG operasyonları kök yüzey kapama ve keratinize diş eti bandını arttırmada iyi bir tedavi seçeneği olabilir.

Inroduction and Aim: Keratinized gingiva is defined as the area extending from the free gingival margin to the mucogingival line. It has been shown that there is difficulty in maintaining periodontal health in cases where the depth of the vestibular sulcus and the amount of keratinized gingiva are insufficient. The purpose of this case report is to share the clinical results and follow-up of a patient with insufficient keratinized gingiva in the lower anterior region and free gingival graft (FGG) application. Case Report: A 33-year-old, systemically healthy female patient was applied to our clinic due to sensitivity and aesthetic problems caused by gingival recession in the vestibular region of mandibular central tooth. In the intraoral examination, it was determined that the amount of keratinized gingiva and the depth of the vestibular sulcus were insufficient. After non-surgical periodontal treatment, FGG was performed. Sutures were removed 10 days after the operation. Conclusions: No complications were observed in the 3-month follow-up after the surgical procedure. In the controls, an increase in the width of the keratinized gingiva and the depth of the vestibular sulcus, and closure on the open root surface were observed. FGG operations can be a good treatment option for root surface closure and increasing the keratinized gingival band.
